The Friends of Dave Ream announce the application period is now closed for the 2023 scholarships from the fund established in memory of Dave Ream who passed away in late 2017.
The five winners are:
Laura Abed, ASI
Jess Herdman, ISC/SCI
Anna Aridome, ASI
Jessica Dee Humphreys, ISC/SCI
Wendy Savage, ISC/SCI
Applicants needed to meet the following criteria:
1/ Have completed an indexing course or formal index training (such as a mentorship) in the last five years (i.e., since January 2018)
2/ Have registered and paid to attend the reimbursable event (proof of registration/payment required in order to be reimbursed); and
3/ Submit the Application Form by the specified date to Kate Mertes (kmertes@hotmail.com) and use the subject line for the email: DReam to Index 2023.
Previous winners were not eligible to enter again.
All applicants who met the criteria and submitted the application form were treated equally. All qualified applicants were entered into a blind drawing. The scholarship recipients were notified by email. Past winners were announced on listservs where the Scholarship was advertised as well as on the website of the DReam to Index Scholarship.
